What this standard is about

This standard has been replaced. AAOIFI issued SS 61 (Payment Cards), which covers debit, prepaid, charge, and credit cards with updated rules. SS 61 is the standard that applies now. This file is kept only so readers looking for the old SS 2 land in the right place.

• Do not use SS 2 as a current rulebook. Read SS 61 (Payment Cards) instead. It sets the rules for each card type, the fees a bank may charge, and how cards may be used.
